Charts Tab
The Charts Tab displays all the Charts that you have created and Saved. Each Chart has a specific Name and you can add a Description to the Chart to make it easier to understand the criteria you have chosen for that Chart. There are also powerful Action Items you can select for your Chart including Schedule Chart to be delivered via Email, Email Chart now, Preview Chart Criteria, Run the Chart, and Create a PDF of the Chart. You can also Edit the Chart and Delete the Chart. If you click on the Name of the Chart, it will automatically generate the Chart.
Create New Chart
If you want to create a New Chart, simply click on the button at the top of the page that says “+ Create New Chart” and a Chart Wizard will appear so that you can choose the criteria for your Chart. Once you have selected all your criteria, click on the “Submit” button so that the Chart will be generated. After the Chart is generated, you can then Save Chart, Edit Chart, Reorder Criteria, Export to PDF, or show the Data Table that made up the Chart. You can also simply hit the “Save Chart” button prior to generating the Chart and the Chart will be Saved and added to your Charts Tab.
Search Charts
If you want to find a specific Chart, you can Search for your Chart by typing in your Search Text in the Search Box on the upper right side of the Chart Header and select the Search button. The system will search through both the Name and the Description of your Saved Charts and show you all the Results that meet your Search criteria. If there are no Results, simply clear out the text in the Search Box and hit the Search button again, or Select the “Chart” Tab at the top of the page and all your Saved Charts will be visible again.
Charts per Page Navigation Bar
By default, the system will automatically display the Saved Charts in alphabetical order according to the “Name” of the Saved Chart. There is a “Navigation Bar” centered below the “Chart Header” that will allow you to set your preference for the number of Charts to be shown to a Page view. To select more Charts to be shown, simply click on the “down arrow” within the drop down in the Navigation Bar and choose the appropriate number of Charts to be shown per page. When you change your preference, that new preference will be saved and will be the default until the preference is changed again. You can also use the horizontal arrows to the left and right of the Navigation Bar’s numeric display to paginate through the Charts if that is the preferred method of navigation.
Chart Type Column
The first column in the Charts Tab is the Type column. This will indicate what “Type” of Chart has been created and Saved. When you move the mouse over the “Type” header box, a list of all the Types of Charts will appear. If you want to filter your results by a specific type of Chart, simply select the “Type” and only the Saved Charts that are of that Type will remain in your listings. To change your display to see All the Charts, mouse over the “Type” column head again and select the “All” option. You can also click on the “Charts” Tab and the screen will regenerate and show you all the Saved Charts again.
Chart Name Column
By default, the system will automatically display the Saved Charts in alphabetical order (A to Z) according to the column title “Name” of the Saved Chart. If you want to see the results in reverse alphabetical order (Z to A) simply click on the down arrow to the right of the column title “Name” in the first column and it will sort your Saved Charts in reverse alphabetical order and it will now display an “Up” arrow to the right of the column title “Name” in the first column. If you want to change the sorting back to alphabetical order, simply click on the up arrow and it will sort the results by alphabetical order. Please note: You can always “Run” the Saved Chart by clicking on the “Name” of the Chart. When you mouse over the “Name” of the Chart the hyperlink underlining will appear. Simply click on the Name and the Saved Chart will run and you will see the Chart that you created.
Chart Description Column
If you want to see the Saved Charts sorted by Description, simply click on the Up Down arrow to the right of the column title “Description” in the middle column and it will sort your Saved Charts in alphabetical order by “Description and it will now display a “Down” arrow to the right of the column title “Description” in the middle column. If you want to see the results in reverse alphabetical order (Z to A) simply click on the down arrow to the right of the column title “Description” in the middle column and it will sort your Saved Charts in reverse alphabetical order and it will now display an “Up” arrow to the right of the column title “Description” in the first column. If you want to change the sorting back to alphabetical order, simply click on the up arrow and it will sort the results by alphabetical order.
Chart Action Column
There are powerful Action Items you can select for your Charts including Schedule Chart to be delivered via Email, Email Chart now, Preview Chart Criteria, Run Chart, and Create a PDF of the Chart. You can also Edit the Chart and Delete the Chart.
Action – Schedule
To access your Action Items, simply click on the Gear Icon that is the first item in the column title “Action” found in the last column on the right. When you select the “Gear”, all of the available Action Items will be displayed in icon format. The “Schedule” icon is displayed by the “Clock”. To have this Saved Chart automatically emailed to you or others on a specific schedule (Hourly, Daily, Weekly or just Once), simply click on the “Clock” and a dialogue box will pop up and all you need to do is to fill in the information to have the Saved Chart automatically emailed to you or others in the format that you select and at the frequency that you choose.
Action – Email Now
To access your Action Items, simply click on the Gear Icon that is the first item in the column title “Action” found in the last column on the right. When you select the “Gear”, all of the available Action Items will be displayed in icon format. The “Send” icon is displayed by the “Envelope”. To have this Saved Chart automatically emailed to you or others right now, simply click on the “Envelope” and a dialogue box will pop up and all you need to do is to fill in the information to have the Saved Chart automatically emailed to you or others in the format that you select.
Action – Preview Criteria
To access your Action Items, simply click on the Gear Icon that is the first item in the column title “Action” found in the last column on the right. When you select the “Gear”, all of the available Action Items will be displayed in icon format. The “Preview Criteria” icon is displayed by the “Paper with Magnifying Glass”. To view the criteria for this Saved Chart simply click on the “Paper with Magnifying Glass” and a dialogue box will pop up showing you the criteria for that Saved Chart.
Action – Run Chart
To access your Action Items, simply click on the Gear Icon that is the first item in the column title “Action” found in the last column on the right. When you select the “Gear”, all of the available Action Items will be displayed in icon format. The “Run Chart” icon is displayed by the “Paper with HTML” icon. To “Run” this Saved Chart, simply click on the “Paper with HTML” icon and the Saved Chart will “Run” and your Chart will be displayed.
Action – Create PDF of Chart
To access your Action Items, simply click on the Gear Icon that is the first item in the column title “Action” found in the last column on the right. When you select the “Gear”, all of the available Action Items will be displayed in icon format. The “Create PDF” icon is displayed by the “Paper with PDF” icon. To “Create” this Saved Chart as a PDF, simply click on the “Paper with PDF” icon and the Saved Chart will be created and available for you to open with your browser or download directly to your desktop.
Action – Edit Saved Chart
If you simply want to make edits to your Saved Chart, select the “Edit” button in the column title “Action” found in the last column on the right. This will launch a pop up dialogue box where you can modify the Name and Description of the Saved Chart as well as any other criteria you would like to edit. Once you have made your modifications, you can choose to “Save” the “Saved Chart” or you can choose to “Run” the “Saved Chart” by selecting the appropriate button. You can also choose the “Save As” button to Save the edited criteria as a new Saved Chart.
Action – Delete Saved Chart
If you no longer want or need the a Saved Chart, you can “Delete” the “Saved Chart” by selecting the “Delete” button in the column title “Action” found in the last column on the right. This will launch a pop up confirmation dialogue box where you need to confirm that you want to “Delete” the Saved Chart. In addition, if there are any “Saved Newsletters” or “Scheduled Emails” that are dependent on this “Saved Chart” the dialogue box will warn you about that by deleting the “Saved Chart” you will be deleting those additional items since they are dependent upon the “Saved Chart” that you are deleting. You can safely “Cancel” your actions by selecting the “Cancel” button and the “Saved Chart” will remain “Saved” along with the dependent other items. However, if you click on the “OK” button, you will delete the “Saved Chart” and all the items that are dependent on the “Saved Chart”.
