Newsletter Tab
The Newsletter Tab displays all the Newsletters that you have created and Saved. Each Newsletter has a specific Name and you can add a Description to the Newsletter to make it easier to understand the criteria you have chosen for that Newsletter. There are also powerful Action Items you can select for your Newsletter including Schedule Newsletter to be delivered via Email, Newsletter Chart now, Preview Newsletter Criteria, Run the Newsletter, and Create a PDF of the Newsletter. You can also Edit the Newsletter and Delete the Newsletter. If you click on the Name of the Newsletter, it will automatically generate the Newsletter.
Create New Newsletter
If you want to create a New Newsletter, simply click on the button at the top of the page that says “+ Create Newsletter” and a Newsletter Template page will appear so you can choose which template to use for your Newsletter. After you pick the template, a Chart Wizard will appear so that you can choose the criteria for your Newsletter. Once you have selected all your criteria, click on the “Submit” button so that the Newsletter will be generated. After the Newsletter is generated, email fields will appear so you can send the generated Newsletter out via email. You can also simply hit the “Save” button prior to generating the Newsletter and the Newsletter will be Saved and added to your Newsletter Tab.
Search Newsletter
If you want to find a specific Newsletter, you can Search for your Newsletter by typing in your Search Text in the Search Box on the upper right side of the Newsletter’s Header and select the Search button. The system will search through both the Name and the Description of your Saved Newsletter and show you all the Results that meet your Search criteria. If there are no Results, simply clear out the text in the Search Box and hit the Search button again, or Select the “Newsletter” Tab at the top of the page and all your Saved Newsletter will be visible again.
Newsletters per Page Navigation Bar
By default, the system will automatically display the Saved Newsletters in alphabetical order according to the “Name” of the Saved Newsletter. There is a “Navigation Bar” centered below the “Newsletter Header” that will allow you to set your preference for the number of Newsletters to be shown to a Page view. To select more Newsletters to be shown, simply click on the “down arrow” within the drop down in the Navigation Bar and choose the appropriate number of Newsletters to be shown per page. When you change your preference, that new preference will be saved and will be the default until the preference is changed again. You can also use the horizontal arrows to the left and right of the Navigation Bar’s numeric display to paginate through the Newsletters if that is the preferred method of navigation.
Newsletter Name Column
By default, the system will automatically display the Saved Newsletters in alphabetical order (A to Z) according to the column title “Name” of the Saved Newsletter. If you want to see the results in reverse alphabetical order (Z to A) simply click on the down arrow to the right of the column title “Name” in the first column and it will sort your Saved Newsletter in reverse alphabetical order and it will now display an “Up” arrow to the right of the column title “Name” in the first column. If you want to change the sorting back to alphabetical order, simply click on the up arrow and it will sort the results by alphabetical order. Please note: You can always “Run” the Saved Newsletter by clicking on the “Name” of the Newsletter. When you mouse over the “Name” of the Newsletter the hyperlink underlining will appear. Simply click on the Name and the Saved Newsletter will run and you will see the Newsletter that you created.
Newsletter Description Column
If you want to see the Saved Newsletters sorted by Description, simply click on the Up Down arrow to the right of the column title “Description” in the middle column and it will sort your Saved Newsletters in alphabetical order by “Description and it will now display a “Down” arrow to the right of the column title “Description” in the middle column. If you want to see the results in reverse alphabetical order (Z to A) simply click on the down arrow to the right of the column title “Description” in the middle column and it will sort your Saved Newsletters in reverse alphabetical order and it will now display an “Up” arrow to the right of the column title “Description” in the first column. If you want to change the sorting back to alphabetical order, simply click on the up arrow and it will sort the results by alphabetical order.
Newsletter Action Column
There are powerful Action Items you can select for your Newsletters including Schedule Newsletter to be delivered via Email, Email Newsletter now, Run Newsletter, and Create a PDF of the Newsletters. You can also Edit the Newsletter and Delete the Newsletter.
Action – Schedule
To access your Action Items, simply click on the Gear Icon that is the first item in the column title “Action” found in the last column on the right. When you select the “Gear”, all of the available Action Items will be displayed in icon format. The “Schedule” icon is displayed by the “Clock”. To have this Saved Newsletter automatically emailed to you or others on a specific schedule (Hourly, Daily, Weekly or just Once), simply click on the “Clock” and a dialogue box will pop up and all you need to do is to fill in the information to have the Saved Newsletter automatically emailed to you or others in the format that you select and at the frequency that you choose.
Action – Email Now
To access your Action Items, simply click on the Gear Icon that is the first item in the column title “Action” found in the last column on the right. When you select the “Gear”, all of the available Action Items will be displayed in icon format. The “Send” icon is displayed by the “Envelope”. To have this Saved Newsletter automatically emailed to you or others right now, simply click on the “Envelope” and a dialogue box will pop up and all you need to do is to fill in the information to have the Saved Newsletter automatically emailed to you or others in the format that you select.
Action – Run Newsletter
To access your Action Items, simply click on the Gear Icon that is the first item in the column title “Action” found in the last column on the right. When you select the “Gear”, all of the available Action Items will be displayed in icon format. The “Run Newsletter” icon is displayed by the “Paper with HTML” icon. To “Run” this Saved Newsletter, simply click on the “Paper with HTML” icon and the Saved Newsletter will “Run” and your Newsletter will be displayed.
Action – Create PDF
To access your Action Items, simply click on the Gear Icon that is the first item in the column title “Action” found in the last column on the right. When you select the “Gear”, all of the available Action Items will be displayed in icon format. The “Create PDF” icon is displayed by the “Paper with PDF” icon. To “Create” this Saved Newsletter as a PDF, simply click on the “Paper with PDF” icon and the Saved Newsletter will be created and available for you to open with your browser or download directly to your desktop.
Action – Edit Saved Newsletter
If you simply want to make edits to your Saved Newsletter, select the “Edit” button in the column title “Action” found in the last column on the right. This will launch a pop up dialogue box where you can modify the Name and Description of the Saved Newsletter as well as any other criteria you would like to edit. Once you have made your modifications, you can choose to “Save” the “Saved Newsletter” or you can choose the “Save As” button to Save the edited criteria as a new Saved Chart.
Action – Delete Saved Newsletter
If you no longer want or need the a Saved Newsletter, you can “Delete” the “Saved Newsletter” by selecting the “Delete” button in the column title “Action” found in the last column on the right. This will launch a pop up confirmation dialogue box where you need to confirm that you want to “Delete” the Saved Newsletter. In addition, if there are any “Scheduled Emails” that are dependent on this “Saved Newsletter” the dialogue box will warn you about that by deleting the “Saved Newsletter” you will be deleting those additional items since they are dependent upon the “Saved Newsletter” that you are deleting. You can safely “Cancel” your actions by selecting the “Cancel” button and the “Saved Newsletter” will remain “Saved” along with the dependent other items. However, if you click on the “OK” button, you will delete the “Saved Newsletter” and all the items that are dependent on the “Saved Newsletter”.
